But even the most rugged parts can break down, and sometimes regular wear and tear and maintenance issues can interfere with the normal operation of your liftgate. When they do, this is where to turn. We have prepared this section to help guide you step-by-step through the most common troubleshooting procedures. This guide covers all of our popular ATU Tuckunder, AR Medium-Duty Liftgate and MRT Heavy-Duty Liftgate models. Tuckunder Series

1.	Platform will not raise, liftgate motor does run.
2.	Platform will not raise, motor does NOT run.
3.	Platform lifts little or no load & platform drifts down when raised off ground, motor does run .
4.	Platform will lift rated loads, but drifts down.
5.	Platform will not lower.
6.	Platform lowers extremely slowly.
7.	Bent latch pin.
8.	Hydraulic oil leaks from cylinder rod end.
9.	Platform will not raise to full raised position.
10.	Broken roller wheel.

Medium RailTrac and Dump Through Series

1.	Platform will not raise, liftgate motor does run.
2.	Platform will not raise, motor does NOT run.
3.	Platform lifts little or no load & platform drifts down when raised off ground,motor does run .
4.	Platform will lift rated loads, but drifts down.
5.	Platform will not lower.
6.	Platform lowers extremely slowly.
7.	Platform will not raise to full raised position.
8.	Platform lowers in a jerky fashion.
9.	Platform runner hangs up on one side when lowering.
10.	Broken lift chain.
11.	Broken platform assist spring.

Magnum RailTrac Series

1.	Platform lowers slower than normal.
2.	Platform closes and/or opens too slowly.
3.	Platform will not close completely.
4.	Platform will not close at all, motor does run.
5.	Platform will not close, motor does not run.
6.	Platform will not open.
7.	Platform will lift rated loads, but drifts down.
8.	Platform will not lower.
9.	Platform lowers extremely slowly.

Conventional Series

1.	Platform will not raise, liftgate motor does run.
2.	Platform will not raise, motor does NOT run.
3.	Platform lifts little or no load & platform drifts down when raised off ground, motor does run.

Little Anthony
